Building Tomorrow: Insights form Réka’s Journey

Melegh Réka worked in the Urban Design department for 3 months at Extramus. She came from Budapest, Hungary. She studies architecture at Óbuda University. One of her main tasks here was to plan a future campus for our interns.

How would you describe your overall experience at Extramus?

My overall experience at Extramus was quite positive. I had the chance to connect with people from various parts of the world and immerse myself in their cultures, which was truly fascinating. Initially, I felt nervous and unsure about the internship, but looking back, I can confidently say it was a rewarding experience.

What was the best part of working here?

The best part was the flexible work environment. On days when I had less work, I could relax and enjoy the company of my colleagues in the office. I also appreciated how I had the chance to handle challenges independently and find solutions on my own. Additionally, I learned how to work better as a team.

What was the most valuable thing you learned here?

The most valuable lesson I learned is to stay open-minded and embrace the unexpected. Some situations arose that I hadn’t anticipated, but by keeping an open mind, those moments turned into some of the best experiences I had here.

Who would you recommend an internship at Extramus to?

I would recommend this internship to younger individuals or those still pursuing their degrees. It’s an excellent opportunity that you shouldn’t miss out on. I particularly encourage students in the IT field to consider this internship.
