Job Description
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network and application systems.
- Assist in the investigation and response to security incidents and breaches.
- Participate in risk assessments and security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security controls and best practices.
- Research and stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Document security findings and create detailed reports for management review.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
- Experience or coursework in computer science, information security, or a related field.
- Ability to analyze and interpret security data and logs.
- Understanding of network protocols and operating systems.
- Proficiency with programming and scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Bash.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Passion for cybersecurity and protecting digital assets.
Would be a plus:
- Familiarity with ethical hacking and penetration testing methodologies.
- Basic understanding of regulatory compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS.
